Escorts signs agreement with IHI, HUATA

Mumbai, May 17: Escorts Construction Equipment Ltd (ECEL) has signed a joint agreement with IHI Construction Machinery Ltd of Japan and Weihai Huata Building Machinery Company Ltd of China for the marketing of their range of crawler and tower cranes in India.

Under the agreement with Huata of China, the largest manufacturers of tower cranes, ECEL will market the range of 'Huata' tower cranes in India. Weihai Huata is known as a specialised company, with leading product of 'Huata' tower cranes, the company said in a statement here today.

ECEL is a subsidiary of Escorts and a dominant player in the material handling, construction equipment and road construction equipment sectors.
