Andhra Bank launches ATM counters with bio metric system

Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, May 19 (UNI) Andhra Bank Chairman and Managing Director K Ramakrishnan said the bank has launched ATM counters with bio metric system at Kondapur branch near Hyderabad, for the first time in Andhra Pradesh.

Unveiling the statue of the late founder of Andhra Bank and freedom fighter Bhogaraju Pattabhi Sitaramayya at his native place in Gundugolanu village late last night Mr Ramakrishnan told reporters that the bank would soon start another hundred ATM's with bio metric system in the state. The bank would develop the Gundugolanu village as a model village as a tribute to the late founder of the bank, he added.

He said the Andhra Bank would open branches in Malaysia and would reintroduce 'kiddi bank', which was startred in 1970's.

As part of social service the bank had given Rs 50 lakh to the Indo American Cancer Institute as donation.
