Agitators block road over woman's death

Mahoba, May 19 (UNI) An agitated mob blocked the Kanpur-Sagar National highway over the death of a woman in a road accident in Kabrai area here today.

Wife of Dayaram Kushwaha of Kidwainagar area was on her way to set up a temporary vegetable shop when she was run over by a speeding tractor, police said.

She died on the spot, whereas the driver fled the scene.

The protest that continued for about three hours was called off after the police assured speedy action in the matter.
