A Hyderabadi arrested on charges of blackmailing

Mysore, May 19 (UNI) Police have nabbed a native of Hyderabad for allegedly blackmailing his chat mates on the internet.

Neeraj Vaidya, the culprit, had blackmailed many girls and women in the city and extorted lakhs of rupees, police said here today.

Police have also recovered Rs 1.65 lakhs cash, a laptop used for chatting and mobile phones used for sending extortion demands.

The culprit was an IT professional who worked in several software companies. The police traced the E-mail ID of the accused to Hyderabad and arrested him. Police suspect that he might have cheated girls in other states also in similar fashion.
