6 farmers killed in accident

Surat, May 19 (UNI) Six farmers were killed and 15 others injured when a truck they were travelling in, collided with another at Koswada village in Sonagadh taluka here last evening, police today said.

The deceased have been identified as Narsingh Gamit (65), Suman Gamit (34), Posaliya Gamit (60), Babu Gamit (35), Anil Gamit (21) and Ramu Gamit, police said.

The accident occurred when the truck, carrying the farmers, was hit by a sugarcane-laden truck and overturned. All the six were killed on the spot, police said.
