4 killers slapped life sentence

Muzaffarnagar, May 19 (UNI) A local court here today awarded life imprisonment to four persons accused in a decade old double murder case.

According to the prosecution, on June 22, 1996, Name Singh amd Meh Singh, both residents of Khanjapur villge, were brutally murdered under Kotwali police station area.

Later, an FIR was lodged against Ombeer, Ranveer, Meham Pal, Virendra and Satendra.

On the basis of substantial evidence and testimony, Additional District Court Judge Allah Rakha convicted the four accused, besides imposing a fine of Rs 25,000 each on them.

Fifth accused Satendra had already died.
