3 miscreants lynched by villagers

Lakhimpur Kheri, May 19 (UNI) A mob of villagers today lynched three burglars in separate incidents under Phool Bahed area of the district.

A band of looters stormed into Pakaria, Girdharpur and Rankaria villages and started robbing people.

However, some of them were surrounded by the villagers and beaten to death by the mob, police said.

Others, however, managed to escape. Later, one of the gang was also gunned down in an encounter.

Three pistols and a large number of cartridges were recovered from the spot.

The deceased were identified as Satendra, Ramdheen and Bhoora.

A hunt for the others was on.
