Unemployed teachers observe indefinite fast

Puducherry, May 18 (UNI) Members of the Unemployed Graduate Teachers Association began an indefinite fast here today to press their demands.

Sitting on a the fast near the Swadeshi Cotton Mills, they demanded filling up of teachers posts on seniority basis, among other things.

Meanwhile, the strike by the employees and officers of electricity department entered the second day today.

They were demanding, among other things, immediate arrest of the culprits, allegedly responsible for assaulting two of their collegues here recently.
