TV given to tribals

Maredumilli, Andhra Pradesh, May 18 (UNI) East Godavari District Superintendent of Police B Srinivasulu today distributed about 20 colour TV sets with TATA sky's home dish connections to tribals and girijans here.

Speaking on the occasion he said the girijans should watch the TV serials and build up their awareness level. He promised to provide homeguard duties to 17 tribal youths in Donkarai power station.

Some of the tribals who spoke on the occasion sought Mr Srinivasulu's help in getting power, medical aids and employment opportunities. He assured that he would put forth their demands to integrated tribal development authority and also to the government for necessary action.
