Sugar prices decline further on poor demand
Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) Sugar prices declined further today on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said.
Sugar in small and medium grades was down by Rs five per quintal each due to thin buying support.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades fell by Rs 15 per quintal on sustain heavy selling pressure by stockists.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,315/1,340, Medium grade Rs 1,340/1,395, Ex-mill: Small grade Rs 1,300/1,315, Medium grade Rs 1,325/1,355.
