Poverty may force them to face additional sentence

Mumbai, May 18 (UNI) They are so poor that they will undergo more term rather than pay the fine.

Among the five sentenced to three-year imprisonment and asked to pay a fine of Rs 25,000 or else face an additional six months imprisonment are Rashid Alware and Sharif Adhikari who had played a role in the transportation of arms.

Both of them have already spent more than three year and three months in jail.

A friend of the duo, Imran, who was present outside court, said the two would not be able to pay up the fine of Rs 25,000 and, so, may have to serve the additional sentence.
