Leopard attacks two, killed by villagers in Asom

Guwahati, May 18 (UNI) A full-grown female leopard was slain by villagers after it attacked and injured two persons at Golaghat in upper Asom today.

A forest official said the leopard, which had been creating menace in the Sumoni area of the district for the past few days, attacked two persons at Mahima Tea Estate this evening.

Seeking to stamp out the menace, the villagers attacked the leopard with sharp weapons killing it.

The two injured - Ramen Nagbonshi and Rafiq Ali - were rushed to the hospital.
