Left condem blast, appeal for communal amity

New delhi may 18 (UNI) the left parties today condemned the bomb blast in mecca masjid in hyderabad, which claimed the lives of five people while 35 others were injured and appealed to the people to maintain communal amity and peace.

While the cpi(m) polit bureau asked the police authorties to take all necesary stepes to apprehend the culprits, the cpi termed it the handiwork of those'' who were out to jeopardise the peaceful atmosphere.

''the fact that such an attack had taken place in a mosque during friday prayers showed the diabolic intent of provoking communal violence,''the cpi (m) said adding it is of utmost importance to preserve comunal harmony and peace to foil the designs of the nefarious elements." senior cpi leader gurudas dasgupta and s sudhakar reddy said at a press conference here that those behind the blast must be brought to book without further delay.
