Intermittent rain in MP

Bhopal, May 18 (UNI) Intermittent rain was witnessed here and in several other parts of Madhya Pradesh due to cyclonic circulation in the vicinity of western Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

The state capital recorded a high of 41.6 degrees Celsius.

''Isolated thundershowers are likely in every division over the next 24 hours,'' a Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman said.

Overnight precipitation took place in Jabalpur, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions. The hottest places were Sheopur and Rajgarh where the mercury climbed to 43 C.
