Husband remanded on PC murder charge

LONDON, May 18 (Reuters) The husband of special constable Nisha Patel-Nasri, stabbed to death outside her London home last year, appeared in court today charged with her murder.

Self-employed Fadi Nasri, 33, from Barnet, north London, was remanded in custody to June 25 during a brief hearing at the Old Bailey.

Three others are also charged with her murder: Rodger Leslie, 37, of north London; Jason Jones, 35, of no fixed abode and Tony Emmanuel, 41, from east London.

The four men spoke only to confirm their names and have yet to enter pleas.

Patel-Nasri, 29, who also worked as a hairdresser, had been a special constable for three years when she was stabbed outside her Wembley home on the night of her third wedding anniversary.

The trial is due to start in November or January and is expected to last eight weeks.
