Five gets life term in murder case

Hajipur, May 18(UNI) A local court today sentenced five people to life imprisonement in connection with a murder case.

Additional district and sessions judge of the fast track court H N Gupta awarded rigorous imprisonment to all the accused after they were found guilty in the case. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 5000 each to all the accused.

According to the charges, the convicts had kidnapped one Harihar Thakur from Kanchanpur Dhanusi village under Kartaha police station in Vaishali district on January 14, 1999 and later killed him.
