ECoR to augment more coaches in two trains
Bhubaneswar, May 17 (UNI) The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to provide additional coaches to Puri-Patna Baidyanathdham Express and Puri Express to cope the demands of commuters.
ECoR sources said four additional coaches each would be permanently added to the two trains during the month.
After the augmentation the 8449/8450 Puri-Patna-Baidyanathdham Express will run with 17 coaches from May 21 next instead of earlier 13 coaches from Bhubaneswar and Patna from May 23.
The revised composition of Puri-Patna-Puri Baidyanathdham Express will be one AC-2 tier and AC-3 tier Composite Coach, one AC-3 tier, 9 sleeper classes, 4 general second classes coaches, and 2 guard cum luggage vans.
Similarly, the 8473/8474 Puri-Jodhpur-Puri Express will be augmented permanently with one Sleeper Class Coach, two General Second Class Coaches and one composite coach of both AC-2 and AC-3 tier from May 23 next from Bhubaneswar and from May 26 from Jodhpur. The Puri-Jodhpur Express will now run with 20 coaches instead of earlier 16 coaches.
ECoR sources said the Railway Board has also decided to increase the frequency of 8509/8510 Visakhapatnam-Nizamabad-Visakhapatnam from bi-weekly to tri-weekly from July 3next from Visakhapatnam and July 4 from Nizamabad.
The train will leave Visakhapatnam on every Tuesdays,Wednesday and Saturday while in the return direction it would leave Nizamabad on every Wednesday,Thursday and Sunday.
