Deve Gowda offers prayers at Balaji temple

Tirumala, May 18 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) President H D Deve Gowda offered worship at the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara here today.

Earlier, Mr Gowda, who arrived at the Renigunta airport by a flight accompanied by his family members last evening, was received by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Joint Executive Officer G Balaramaiah, temple Deputy Executive Officer Prabhakar Reddy and other TTD officials. Mr Balaramaiah presented 'prasadam' to him at Ranganayukulu Mandapam on the temple premises after having darshan.

He stayed overnight at TTD's Padmavathi guest house atop the hill. Before leaving for Bangalore this morning, he offered prayers during the Lord's Nijapada Darshan in the temple, TTD sources said.
