TN: Billroth Hospitals Founder passes away

Chennai, May 18: Dr V Jagannathan, Founder and Chairman of the famous Billroth Hospitals, died here last evening following a heart attack.

He was 54. He is survived by his mother, wife, a son and a daughter.

Dr Jagannathan suffered a heart attack and was rushed to his own hospital, where he was given first aid. He was later shifted to another private hospital, but he died despite providing the best of treatment, family sources said.

The last rites will performed today.
