6 peacocks killed by hunters
Mahoba, May 18 (UNI) Six national birds were poisoned to death in separate incidents in the district.
The incidents came to light in Manjhol Pahadi of Charkhari and Ruri Khurd village of Mahokanth area on Wednesday, where the peacocks were given grains laced with poison by the hunters and later killed, sources said.
Meanwile, Forest Department identified one of the hunters -- Narayan -- and has started investigations in the killing of national bird.
The Carcasses had been sent for postmortem.
Besides, several feathers and carcass were recovered in Ruri Khurd village.

said,

arrested
soon.''
