10 held for gambling

Surat, May 18 (UNI) Sachin police here have arrested ten persons for gambling and seized cash, mobile phones and motor cycles worth over Rs 1.5 lakh.

A police team, acting on a tip off, raided the house of one Pravin Alpababhai Hagalpathi in Lajpore village near Kim at Choryasi taluka here yesterday and arrested the ten, including a non-resident Indian.

The police team seized Rs 26,410 in cash, four mobile phones worth Rs 17,500 and five motorcycles worth Rs 112,000, police said.
