KIADB Assistant Engineer caught red hand while accepting bribe

Bangalore, May 16 (UNI) An Assistant Engineer of Karnataka Industrial Aread Development Board (KIADB), Dharwad, was caught red hand while accepting bribe for showing official favour.

In a trap laid by Lokayukta sleuths yesterday, K S Shivalingappa, who is also KIADB Incharge Assistant Executive Engineer, was caught while accepting Rs 4000 as bribe for issuing clearance certificate to EMD amount and security deposit amount from Mr Ramakrishna the complainant.

Shivalingappa was produced before District and Sessions Judge and was remanded for judicial custody.
