Heatwave prevails

Hyderabad, May 16 (UNI) Heatwave conditions prevailed over some parts of South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and the weather was dry over the State.

Tbhe maximum temperature rose at one or two places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little over Telangana and Rayalaseema, according to weather office here today.

The temperature was significantly above normal at many places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, at one or two places over Telangana and above normal at many places over Rayalaseema.

The highest maximum temperature of 45 degrees Celsius was recorded at Bapatla, Rentachintala and Vijayawada in the state.

Heatwave conditions were likely to continue in some parts of Nellore, Prakasam, Guntur, Krishna, East and West Godavari districts during next 48 hours, the weather office said.
