Yahoo India launches oneSearch

Bangalore May 15: Yahoo! today expanded the reach of its popular mobile search service, Yahoo! oneSearch beta, to consumers in India.

Yahoo India in a release here today said oneSearch reinvents search on the mobile and was designed to provide consumers exactly what they wanted on their mobile device. This beta version of oneSearch could be accessed through Yahoo's mobile Web site, on any mobile phone with a browser and Internet access.

To try Yahoo! oneSearch, mobile phone's browser should be opened and m.yahoo.com should be keyed in. Information on Yahoo! oneSearch could be obtained from http://in.mobile.yahoo.com.

oneSearch leveraged Yahoo's expertise in search on the desktop and mobile Internet services as well as relationships with leading content providers to deliver an innovative search experience to consumers the release said.

Yahoo! oneSearch was designed to make finding information faster by providing relevant results right on the first page such as news headlines, images, weather, financial updates and easy navigation to other Web sites.
