Water levels decrease in Kerala reservoirs

Thiruvananthapuram, May 15 (UNI) Water levels in major reservoirs of Kerala have decreased during the past one week.

According to the figures released by Central Water Commission for the week ending May 14, at Idukki, the water level decreased from 2324.56 ft to 2320.10 ft, at Idmalayar from 462.89 ft to 459.25 ft and at Kallada from 305.12 ft to 304.59 ft compared to previous week.

When compared to the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs showed an increase of 5.42 ft and 15.22 ft respectively, while Kallada reservoir recorded a decrease of 15.78 ft.
