Under-trial escapes from train

Lucknow, May 15 (UNI) A under-trial today managed to escape after jumping from the running Bundelkhand Express in Mauranipur area here.

Santosh Kumar Soni, an under trial in Jhansi jail, escaped when he was being brought back by three police personnel in the train, police said.

Santosh, an accused in a murder case, was taken to Allahabad High Court yesterday for hearing.

A case has been registered and the three cops in charge of him suspended.
