Two youths drown in Mahi river

Vadodara, May 15 (UNI) Two youths drowned in Mahi River at Lalchampura village of Savli taluka in Vadodara district today, police said.

The Victims Kailash Hasija (22) and his cousin Jinesh Hasija (25) went on a holiday to a village, about 45 Kms away along with ten members of their family While taking bath in the local river, the duo accidentally slipped and fell into the current in the middle of the river .

Others who saw them drowning sought help from local people to rescue them but in vain.

Their bodies were later fished out after an hour of search, two kms away from the accident spot, sources added.
