Two people dead, six injured in accident

Siliguri, May 15 (UNI) At least two people were killed today and six injured when the car, they were travelling in, was caught in a landslide at Likubir under Kalimpong sub-division of Darjeeling district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Rajesh Subarna said here that the car, carrying nine people, was travelling from Siliguri to Gangtok when it was caught in a landslide. The car rolled down 50 ft downhill and driver Anil Subba (32) and a tourist Mrs P Bhairavi Amma (61) died on the spot, while three others were missing, the SP added.

The injured were admitted to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, Mr Subarna said.
