Two charred to death

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Two persons were charred to death and three others injured in a fire mishap at a closed ice factory at Pulipakkam village near Chengalpattu near here today.

Police said, five persons went to the factory to remove machineries from the factory. Due to a gas leak from a cylinder attached to a machine during the process, the fire broke out with thick smoke.

The five persons swooned due to suffocation.

A 30-year-old man died on the spot, while Nainar Mohad succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.

The injured were admitted to Government Headquarters Hospital here, police said.
