Sugar prices rise further on increased demand
Mumbai, May 15 (UNI) Sugar prices rose further today on increased demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchant's Association said.
Sugar in small and medium grades was up by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal respectively on better buying support.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades went up by Rs five and Rs 20 per quintal respectively on reduced stock supply.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,313/1,350, Medium grade Rs 1,345/1,410, Ex-mill: Small grade Rs 1,300/1,325, Medium grade Rs 1,335/1,350.
