AP: ENC Chief flags off education, adventure camp

Visakhapatnam, May 15: The Eastern Naval Command (ENC) Chief of Staff Rear Admiral A G Thapliyal today flagged off a five-day educational and adventure camp for naval officers, sailors and their children to INS Chilka, Konark, Puri and Bhubaneswar.

The 78-member team would visit various places of tourist interest as well as to study the environment around the Chilka lake. The camp would also promote adventure, built physical endurance and develop other things among the participants.

During the camp, the children would take part in trekking, jungle walk, treasure hunt, team games and cultural programmes.

Speaking on the occasion, Rear Admiral said, the camp would provide exposure to art and architecture of ancient and medieval India to the children.

The ENC officials were planning to conduct another summer camp from May 21 to 28 at Hyderabad.
