Poppy destroyed in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 15 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with the Central Bureau of Narcotics, have destroyed poppy crop spread over hundreds of hectares of land in Pulwama district.
Police, in its drive against the menace of narcotics, launched an opium and poppy destruction operation in Wakherwan, Navnagri, Wasoora, Chandgam, Badriwan, Bandarpora and Ranzipora villages of Pulwama district.
During the operation, poppy crop spread over hundreds of hectares of land was destroyed.
Police said the situation remained normal during the operation.
