Police remove huts pitched by CPI(M) in AP
Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, May 15: Police today removed the huts put up by the CPI(M) for the poor as part of their land grabbing agitation on the outskirts of the town.
When the party activists tried to resist the removal of huts, police arrested them.
CPI(M) workers had occupied six acres in Vajpayee Nagar and erected huts. However, as the property belonged to private individuals, they complained to the police. Acting on their complaint, police removed the huts.
