NMCE launches 46 new series, 6 new 'spread series'

Ahmedabad, May 15 (UNI) The National Multi-Commodity Exchange (NMCE) will launch 46 new series and six new 'spread series' for futures contract in different commodities from tomorrow.

The new contracts include gold, silver, cardamom, pepper, rubber, gur, guargum, isabgul, cumin seed, cotton seed, linseed, sesame, mustard/rapeseed, groundnut, soya bean, coconut cake, their oils and cakes; crude palm oil, RBD palmolein, rice bran, moong, masoor and sugar, a NMCE release said here.

The trading cycle of most of these commodities will expire on August 14, rubber and sack on September 14, castor seed (10MT) on October 15 and that in pepper, coffee Arabica and Robusta on November 15. In case of coconut cake, groundnut cake and sesame cake, two series are being launched tomorrow, expiring on July 14 and August 14 respectively.

The six new spread series include three each in pepper and rubber, for specific periods of May 16-June 15, May 16-July 14 and May 16-August 14.

NMCE also provides electronic platform for trading in other commodities, such as base metals, kilo gold, chana, soyaoil and guar seed, which begin and expire on different days of the month.

The delivery centres for different commodities, as per specified quality, are at specified warehouses of the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) in the country. They are backed by robust and reliable CWC delivery settlement system and finances from Punjab National Bank (PNB).
