Nashik Dist administration gears up for MH-CET exam
Nashik, May 15 (UNI) The district administration here has geared up for the May 17 Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) for admissions to the engineering, medicine and pharmacy, for which about 8,163 candidates are likely to appear.
Resident deputy district collection Dr Sanjay Kolte has been appointed as the District Centre Chief for the examination, while 22 Class I officers will work as Sub Centre Chiefs and 627 officers and employees including supervisors, clerks and peons have also been assigned to overlook the examination.
A training camp for these employees was conducted on May 11 and the next camp is scheduled for tomorrow, Mr Kolte said while talking to reporters here.
Apart from this, the police machinery will be deployed at the examination sub-centres to maintain law and order situation, he added.
Assistant Police Commissioner (Div-I) has issued orders to keep a close watch on STD booths, Xerox centres with Fax facilities near the examination sub-centres, and will apply Sec 144 in these areas from 0600 hrs to 1800 hrs on the day of the examination.
