Maoist's area commander and accomplices arrested in Bihar

Gaya, May 15 (UNI) Police today arrested an ''area commander'' of the Maoist guerillas and four of his accomplices from Bhoja Bigha Bhui Toli area in the district.

Police here said acting on a tip-off a group of Maoist activists assembled at Bhui Toli for committing a crime. A raid was conducted following which the self-styled area commander, Shankar Yadav and four of his accomplices were arrested.

A carbine, a countrymade pistol and several rounds of cartridge were recovered from their possession.

All the arrested were being interrogated, police added.
