Krishna Grameena Bank registers 25.70 per cent growth
Gulbarga, May 15 (UNI) The Krishna Grameena Bank, one of the leading Rural Banks in Karnataka, has registered a 25.70 per cent growth on turnover of Rs 1,257 Crore during the year ended March 31-2007, Bank Chairman G G Vishnu Murthy said today.
Talking to newsmen here, he said that the Bank, which has a customer base of 7.31 lakhs, has earned Rs 16.50 Crore net profit.
He said the Bank has disbursed Rs 418.42 crores as loans, including Rs 390.21 crore to priority sector and Rs 28.21 crore for non-priority sector.
He said that under doubling of agriculture credit and debt relief to farmers as per the Union government and NABARD directions the Bank has disbursed Rs 307.32 crore.
Mr Murthy said that the Bank had set a target of Rs 2000 crore turnover in the current fiscal year.
