Father attempts rape on infant daughter, arrested

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) A 30-year-old man was arrested today for allegedly trying to rape his two-and-a-half-year old daughter in Adarsh Nagar area of North-West Delhi.

Pankaj, who ran a grocery shop in Keval Park area of Adarsh Nagar, was arrested this morning after his wife Renu complained about the attempt on his daughter, said a senior police official.

The accused made the attempt at his uncle's house where his wife had come along with their children.

The couple, who has a son and a daughter, had been living separately for some time.
