Dhanalakshmi Bank posts 70 per cent growth
Thrissur, May 15 (UNI) Dhanalakshmi Bank posted a 70 per cent growth by registering a net profit of Rs 16.14 crore as compared to Rs 9.52 crore in 2005-06.
Addressing a press conference here, Bank Managing Director P S Prasad said the operating profit increased from Rs 23.09 crore to Rs 38.64 crore in 2006-07 recording 67.35 per cent growth.
The total income jumped from Rs 231.79 crore to Rs 276.17 crore with a growth of 19 per cent.
With the special thrust on mobilising fee-based business through cross selling efforts, the non-interest income posted a 35 per cent growth at Rs 29.63 crore.
While total deposits increased from Rs 2,533 crore to Rs 3,088 crore, the total advances moved up from Rs 1, 690 crore to Rs 1928 crore.
