'Congress fomenting Hindu-Sikh toubles' : BJP
New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Strongly condemning the violence in Punjab, the BJP today cautioned the Congress that its effort to ''draw a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs'' in the state would not succeed.
Asked for the party's reaction about the riots breaking out at Bhatinda between the supporters of Sacha Souda and ruling Akali Dal-BJP combine, BJP Parliamentary Party Spokesman Vijay Kumar Malhotra said the Congress had been planning to create violence between the two friendly groups. "We caution the groups to see through the Congress game and maintain unity and refrain from violence," he said.
