New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also covered under the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and other Maritime Zones Act of 1976, Minister of State for Home Affairs S Regupathy said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.

The EEZ has been defined as an area beyond and adjacent to the territorial waters and the limit of such zone is two hundred nautical miles from baseline to the territorial waters, continental shelf.
