AICC Secy Thomas visits Nagaland
Kohima, May 15 (UNI) AICC Secretary Ranjit Thomas has appealed to his party workers to be prepared for the next Assembly Elections, scheduled to begin early next year.
Mr Thomas who arrived at Dimapur yesterday on a week-long-visit, attended a meeting of Congress workers at Dimapur District Congress Committee(DCC) office and urged party workers to be more dedicated, sincere and effective in executing their assigned duties for ''a beautiful enterprising Nagaland'', party sources here said today.
The Minister, who is also the in-charge of Nagaland, said the UPA government at the Centre has special concerns for the North Eastern region, especially Nagaland, so that the region could be at par with the rest of the country in terms of development.
Mr Thomas will visit all the districts of Nagaland during his tour to the state to revitalise the party workers and have a first hand knowledge of the situation, grievances and other problems of the party workers.
