41-yr-old arrested for raping teenager

New Delhi, May 15 (UNI) Police have arrested a 41-year-old man from Hari Nagar area of West Delhi for allegedly raping a Class IX student of Navodaya Vidyalaya.

Mohan was arrested this morning after medical reports confirmed that the 16-year-old student of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya was six-months pregnant, according to sources.

The girl, who lived in Delhi Government's 'Nirmal Chhaya' for orphans, had reportedly 'befriended' Mohan who was a water vendor outside the orphanage.

The matter came to light when the girl was examined at the DDU Hospital after she complained of uneasiness last evening.
