15 nominations filed for Daltonganj bypoll

Daltonganj, May 15 (UNI) Altogether fifteen candidates had filed their nominations till this evening for the June two Daltonganj assembly by-election.

Scrutiny of papers would be done tomorrow.

Official sources said two nominations were filed today--by former Speaker Inder Singh Namdhari as an independent candidate and Ms Neelu Mishra of the JD(U).

The last date for withdrawal of names is May 18.

The by-election was necessitated after sitting MLA and JD(U) leader Inder Singh Namdhari resigned from the seat on March 29.
