Voltas Q4 net soars 405 pc

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Voltas Ltd's net profit soared by 405 per cent to Rs 120 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 24 crore during the same period last year.

The company's net sales rose 38 per cent to Rs 730 crore during the said period as compared to Rs 530 crore during the corresponding quarter last fiscal, a statement said today.

The net profit of the company for the year ended March 31, rose 164 per cent to Rs 186 crore as against Rs 70 crore last fiscal while net sales stood at Rs 2,451 crore, up 29 per cent in comparison to Rs 2,451 crore last fiscal.

The company's Electro-mechanical projects and services segment grew by 21 per cent. In the International business, the company secured some large and prestigious international projects, including the Bahrain City Centre, the Etihad Towers township, a mixed development of offices, hotel, residences and service apartments in Abu Dhabi.
