Three nominations filed for Ullal Assembly seat

Mangalore, May 14 (UNI) Three nominations, including that of official candidates of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress and Communist Party of India (Marxist) were filed today for the June Two byelection to the Ullal Assembly seat.

While Congress has fielded U T Khader, son of U T Fareed, whose death caused the election, BJP has fielded Chandrahasa Uchil, CPM Balakrishna Shetty. The candidates came in separate processions along with their supporters for filing nomination papers.

Tomorrow is the last date for filing nomination.
