Temple priest's son attempts self-immolation in Kashmir

Srinagar, May 14 (UNI) A temple priest's son attempted suicide by self-immolation in south Kashmir's Anantnag district last night, police said today.

Sukhram Das, the son of Madudas Pujari who is the priest of Sherbagh temple in Anantnag district, set himself ablaze by sprinkling some inflammable liquid over his body.

He received 75 per cent burns and has been shifted to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura here.

Police have take up investigations into the matter.
