Sympoisum on oceanography in Kochi

Kochi, May 14 (UNI) A two-day national symposium on 'Emerging Trends in Meteorology and Oceanography'-- METCO 07 will be held here from May 21.

According to an official release today, the symposium will be organised by the School of Naval Oceanology and Meteorology (SNOM) under the aegis of Southern Naval Command along with the Centre for Monsoon Studies.

The symposium is expected to provide a common platform for the research community, the academia and the operational users to exchange their views towards better understanding of the atmosphere and the ocean.

The event will also include an exhibition of products and latest trends for observational methods put up by organizations associated with the field.
