Swamy demands CBI probe into Dinakaran murders
New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Janata Party President Subramanian Swamy today demanded a CBI probe into the murders of three employees of Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran-owned daily Dinakaran on Wednesday last.
In a statement, Dr Swamy said the CBI should entrust the investigation of arson, rioting and murder offences which could not be committed by the mob without the direction of prime suspect -- M K Azhagiri, the son of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.
He threatened to approach the Court if the CBI failed to notify an inquiry by May 2. The accused should be externed from Madurai to his home town of Tanjavur for enabling a free and fair investigation of crimes, Dr Swamy urged.
