Summer Practice School for engineers

Kolkata, May 14 (UNI) To update engineering students of the latest developments in the technological world, the Globsyn Practice School (GPS) would be organising a Summer Practice School, short-term programmes for graduate engineers from June 25 to July 20.

The Summer and Winter School operate under the GPS brand, where students undertake specialised programmes during their summer and winter vacations respectively.

Over the last three years, participants of the Summer Practice School have increased by a whopping 437 per cent. The curriculum includes .Net Architecture using C, programming in Java, J2EE, Object Oriented Programming using C++, System Administration and Networking using Linux and Embedded Systems.

Last year, the GPS trained about 350 students from various engineering colleges from West Bengal. The target this year was 700 students of which 500 students had already enrolled, including students from Sikkim.

The GPS has for the first time offered a track on Embedded Systems, the technology in demand this year.
